Last Train are a Lyon-based four-piece who have dropped their new single, ‘Home’. The track builds slowly and intensely, with ominous textures being pierced by furious blasts of distortion and the relentless pound of the snare drum, before bursting into life halfway through. Its straight rhythms are menacing and hypnotic, with the track’s closing instrumental refusing to divert from its aggressive intensity until they slowly fade to silence. The band have recently announced their signing to [PIAS] and are gearing up to release their third album, after taking a break to drop Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, a collaborative re-working of their previous music with The Mulhouse Symphony Orchestra to create the “score to a film that doesn’t exist”. -Dan Peeke
